Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Set to Celebrate the 1005th Amafini Ogeh Festival

Warri, Delta State – All roads lead to Ogbe-Ijoh Town on Saturday, 18th January 2025, as the Owubou-in Council and the people of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom prepare to host the 1005th Amafini Ogeh Festival. This historic event highlights the kingdom’s rich traditions, cultural pride, and communal harmony.

This year’s festival, which begins at 10:00 AM, promises a vibrant showcase of cultural expressions, including:

Traditional Ogele Dance, a symbolic display of unity and joy.

Mesmerizing performances by Ewein Dancers and the elegant Ogbe Ijaw Wabu Ladies.

Art and Culture Troupes offering captivating stories through dance and drama.

A thrilling Boat Regatta, highlighting the kingdom’s strong connection to its waterways.

To add a modern touch, attendees will enjoy musical performances by Chief Kingsley Takemebo, with a special appearance by celebrated artist Harrisong.

The Amafini Ogeh Festival is not just an event; it is a celebration of identity and a platform to pass down traditions to the next generation. It also serves as a gathering point to strengthen ties within the kingdom and beyond.
