Delta Ijaw Students To Host First Elective Convention At Okerenkoko

The Leadership of one of the most formidable and well structured Students Associations in Nigeria, The National Association Of Delta Ijaw Students (NADIS) Wordwide. Has announced the hosting of their maiden elective convention come November 2021.
The details about the Convention was made known by the National President Comrade Collins Tamaramienmene Oturubo, via a press release signed by him. Of which a copy was sent to Coastal Times Newspapers.
The President of the foremost Ijaw Students body in the release, highlighted that the Association is due for a transition of power. Which will pave way for other well meaning Students to pilot the affairs of the Association for a specific period of time.
Going further, Comrade Oturubo revealed that his Administration has over the years, organised and brought together all ijaw Students from Delta State studying in various universities across the Country, and those in the Diaspora under one unified body ( NADIS ). Which has made the Association one of the most Organised Students Organisation in Delta State, Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
The maiden transitional convention which is billed to hold from the 12th to 14th November 2021, at Okerenkoko Community, the permanent Site of the Nigerian Maritime University in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State. Is expected to be hosted in a ground-style, which will bring about the satisfaction of the anticipations of it members and the entire Students Community in Delta State, Nigeria and the Diaspora.
Oturubo also in the release, asserted that the convention which will be the first ever in the history of the Association. Is carefully and strategically planned, with a Theme that bothers on raising a new breed of Leaders. Who will take on the responsibility of projecting and promoting the national image of ijaw nation, Delta State, Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole.
Furthermore, Comrade Collins pointed out that the forthcoming NADIS convention is estimated to host not less than 800 to 1000 Ijaw Students across Nigeria and in the Diaspora. With special invitation to Students bodies from other ethnic nationalities in the Country.
Conclusively, the NADIS President revealed that his Executives in Conjunction with the Convention Planning Committee, has also put all necessary arrangements such as Feeding, Accommodation and Transportation logistics of Students and Guests to the host Community from Warri in place. In order to ensure the safety and well-being of Students, Dignitaries and other Guests who will grace the occasion.
