INC Pays Condolence Visit To Family Of Late Ijaw Elder Statesman, Chief Mamamu In Warri, Says His Demise Is A Colossal Loss To Ijaw Nation

Ijaw National Congress, INC has paid a condolence visit to the home of the late Chief SY Mamamu, who was also a former zonal chairman of the INC at his Warri residence.

The visit was led by the national president of INC, Prof. Benjamin Okaba on Wednesday afternoon.

Speaking, Okaba said the death of Chief Mamamu was painful and it was a colossal lost to INC, Ijaw nation and Niger Delta at large.

Prof. Okaba, added that while Mamamu was alive, he made a landmark contributions for the Ijaw struggle and the relative peace enjoyed in Warri and its environs.

The INC delegation had earlier visited Chief Barry Etolor, chairman Ijaw elders Council at his Warri residence to commiserate with Ijaw elders over the death of elder (Chief) Mamamu in the morning before proceeding to the home of the late Chief Mamamu.

Okaba who expressed sadness over the Mamamu’s death assured the family of INC and Bayelsa Government supports during the funeral rites. However, he prayed God’s fortitude upon the bereaved family to bear the irreparable lost.
