The People of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State. Has invited Sons, Daughters and the general public to their 1002nd edition of the annual Amafini festival. Which is billed to hold on the 22nd of January, 2022. At Ogbe-Ijoh main town.
The Olori in Council of the people of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, who sent the invitation on behalf of the Kingdom. Highlighted that, this year’s Amafini festival will be one of it kind. As the festival will be jam-packed with lots of activities, ranging from cultural display, symposia, dramas and music to be supplied by iconic Ijaw musician Alfred Izonebi.
It is gathered that the Amafini festival of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, is a festival that has been regarded as sacred to the Ogbe-Ijoh people from Generation to Generation.
The festival which is held to a very high esteem by the people of the Kingdom. Is one that portrays the cultural sophistication of the Ogbe-Ijoh people. As well as serves as a unifying fact to the people of the Kingdom. As both Sons and daughters of the Kingdom from far and near, gather together during the festival to celebrate culture and tradition.
The Amafini festival aside being one of the most important events in the history of the Kingdom. Is an opportunity for Sons, Daughters and lovers of the kingdom to be enlightened and educated on the unique history, culture and traditions of the kingdom.
