Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has promised not to stomp on President Muhammadu Buhari’s toes, but rather to fill his shoes as Nigeria’s next president in 2023.
Tinubu also encouraged the party’s Senate Caucus to back his lifetime dream of becoming President of Nigeria.

Former Governor of Lagos State, who met with the APC Senate Caucus in the New Senate Wing on Wednesday, claimed that he had the experience and capacity to be President of the country, having served as a state Chief Executive Officer and as a Senator.

Senator Ahmad Lawan, the President of the Senate, led the APC Senators in receiving the APC National Leader in Room 301.

Tinubu, who praised the National Assembly for preserving the country’s democracy, stated that women’s interests are critical, and that the APC is doing everything possible to include women’s interests.
