Oporoza Community Continues To Promote Gender Equality, Women Empowerment, As The Community Officially Inaugurates Newly Elected Women Executives -

In a momentous occasion marked by cultural reverence and community pride, the official inauguration of the Oporoza Community Women Executives took place at the heart of the traditional headquarter of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State.

Amidst a vibrant atmosphere infused with traditional music and colorful attire, the ceremony unfolded with a sense of unity and purpose as community members gathered to witness the historic event.

Led by esteemed leaders of the community and dignitaries from various communities across Gbaramatu Kingdom, the inauguration symbolized a significant step forward in further empowering women and promoting gender equality within the community. It as well underscored the vital role of women in the socio-economic development of every community.

Addressing the attendees, High Chief Amb, Dr, Nelson Ogelegbanwei JP+, The Tonwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom who also doubles as the Chairman of the Oporoza Elders Council, emphasized the importance of empowering women and providing them with leadership opportunities. He highlighted the invaluable contributions of women to the economic growth and progress of the community. Thereby, calling for their continued support and collaboration in all aspects of the community.

On their part, the newly inaugurated Women Executives expressed their gratitude and commitment to serving the community with diligence and integrity. They pledged to advocate for the rights and welfare of women, while collaborating with the community executives, Chiefs and Youths to promote education, healthcare, and economic empowerment initiatives, in order to foster unity and development within Oporoza Community.

In attendance were representatives from neighboring communities, government officials, and members of various women’s groups, all united in celebration and support for the newly inaugurated executive body. As the inauguration stands as a testament to the resilience, strength, and determination of women in shaping the future of their communities and forging a path toward a brighter tomorrow.
