Uncontrollable Tears Flow As Family Laid Hon Wilson Independence Gege Agediga To Rest In His Hometown, Sokebolou

The Honorable Wilson Independence Gege Agediga On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Sokebolou community in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, was laid to rest following a brief illness that led to his death on the 2nd of June, 2024, at the age of 64.
The funeral service began at 10:00 AM at the Beautiful Gate Zion Church, in his home-town, Sokebolou.
In saying goodbye to the late Hon. Wilson Independence Gege Agediga, friends, family, well-wishers, and coworkers were all in tears as they bid him farewell to the great beyond.
Additionally, Hon. Wilson was born on the 1st of October, 1960, into the families of Late Gege Arighabofa Agediga of Fikesei and Igborugbo quarters of Sokebolou Town; Kenika quarters of Ogulagha Town in Ogulagha kingdom, Burutu L.G. A; Egbenebor Idumu of Agge Town in Ekeremor L.G.A. of Bayelsa State; and Mama Binkayai Agediga (Nee Aruwei) of Oporoza and Kunukunuma communities of Gbaramatu kingdom in Warri south west Local Government Area of Delta State.
Early in his life, Hon. Wilson Independence Gege Agediga attended Fikesei Primary School in Sokebolou (1965–1970), after which he went on to Ogidigben Grammar School (1976–1979) to earn his West African School Certificate (WASC). And later on worked at Fikesei Primary School in Sokebolou as an auxiliary teacher.
Furthermore, several dignitaries across Delta State, in solidarity with others were present at the funeral. Where they offered their condolences to the family of the deceased, even as they encouraged them to be steadfast and carry on the good legacy of Hon. Wilson Independence Gege Agediga.
The dignitaries who were present at the funeral service included Rt. Hon. (Chief) Funkekeme Solomon, Senior Special Advisor to Delta State Governor; Hon. Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala, Member of the Delta State House of Assembly in Burutu Constituency 1; Julius Pondi, National Assembly member; and Paul Kurugbe, PDP faithful. the funeral service of the late Hon. According to those who perused the expression of goodwill, Hon. Wilson Agege Agediga was a man of the people, consistently making his share of contributions to the growth and welfare of his community, sokebolou during his lifetime.
Earlier in his political career, Hon. Wilson Gege Agediga was elected as a councilor in 1996, serving as the Ward II (Ogulagha/Iduwini ward) representative. Hon. Wilson Gege Agediga was a man of the people, always there to support and care for those in need.
In addition to being a socialite, he was one of the greatest football players ever.
In addition to being a wealthy businessman, the late Hon. Wilson Gege Agediga had contracts with SPDC and other companies. He was the Managing Director and CEO of Gewil Ventures Nigeria Limited till his passing.
A priest from Beautiful Gate Zion Church in Sokebolou conducted the funeral ceremonies. While the guest preacher delivered a sobering lecture about repentance.
The preacher in his sermon, emphasized on how meaningless life is without Christ. He continued by saying that although choices are what make life meaningful, the Almighty God still remains the one with the power of death and judgment. Therefore, chastised dignitaries at the funeral service to live a life that pleases the Lord.
