PAP: INC Expresses Satisfaction In Otuaro’s Administration, Says Ijaw Nation Is Proud Of Him -

The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, has received praise from the national leadership of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) for his creative leadership.

This was said by Prof. Benjamin Okaba, President of the INC, on Thursday at the PAP Office in Abuja while leading a delegation from the leading Ijaw socio-cultural organization to visit Otuaro.

The Special Assistant on Media sent a statement to PAP Administrator Mr. Igoniko Oduma on Friday that included the INC’s remarks.
Okaba noted that the entire Ijaw people and the INC leadership proud of him Otuaro.

He stated that since the PAP leader took office in March 2024, the Ijaw people had expressed satisfaction with his outstanding performance, especially with regard to bringing about a paradigm shift in the program.

The head of the INC expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for nominating Otuaro, saying that the action demonstrated the effort to solve the issues raised by the Ijaw people.

Additionally, he conveyed his appreciation to Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Advisor, for believing that the PAP leader was capable of carrying out the program’s mandate.

“We were very happy to hear that you have been appointed to this highly exalted position,” Okaba stated. Today’s task is to become acquainted with and comprehend the area.

We’d like to let you know that you’re off to a great start. In many fields, the paradigm has shifted. We wish to express our gratitude to you. Ijaw people are speaking highly of you; you are an engager, a really practical person, and someone who is not driven by issues. Instead, you face them head-on when they appear.

A daughter of the Ijaw nation was also named Head of the Federation’s Civil Service just yesterday. Much-needed attention is being paid to the Ijaw challenges of marginalization, exploitation, and underdevelopment, among other things.

We also appreciate the National Security Advisor’s faith in you. We will make sure he understands that you are a square peg in a round hole whenever we have the chance. You are not unfamiliar with the Ijaw issues; you are a byproduct of the Ijaw battle for independence.

“You comprehend the peculiarities of this engagement and are able to interpret those key points of Ijaw agitation.” Ijaw Nation is waiting for you, and you are aware of your job. We are praying for you and supporting you; you are already doing incredibly well.”

In response, the PAP Administrator urged Ijaw unity and gave the INC leadership his word that he would not be taken advantage of by the Office and let the Ijaw people down.

Otuaro promised to put in a lot of effort to support President Tinubu’s steadfast desire for the Niger Delta’s sustained development, peace, and security.

Otuaro expressed gratitude to the INC for the “legacy visit” and stated that he was ready to bring innovations and transparency to the Program.

He stated that his government would expand the number of scholarship recipients from the 275 it now has in place for the 2023–2024 academic year to a total of 500 students across all of the nation’s partner colleges.

Otuaro pledged to always act morally and stated that the Office had created a plan to empower at least 1000 Niger Delta residents in the vocational fields in the upcoming months.

“I will not be carried away on this assignment,” declared the PAP chief. As an Ijaw man, I’ll make sure I don’t let the Ijaw National Congress down. The Ijaw people’s collective voice is represented by the INC. I refuse to work against the goals set forth by the people of the Niger Delta Delta.

“In the process, I’ll make sure to support the President’s strong desire for the Niger Delta’s development.” Mr. President will even listen to us as a people when we stand together and support each other’s goals. We must collaborate with one another.

“I promise to always act morally; I will ensure that the administration’s policy empowers our children by providing them with both formal and informal education. I refuse to employ a backdoor to accomplish worthwhile goals.”
