In a groundbreaking achievement, Winsome FC of Oporoza, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria, has etched its name in football history by becoming the first team from the creeks to win the Delta Football Association (DFA) League.

The club, affiliated with the Delta State Football Association late last year, made its debut in the DFA league this season. Despite being newcomers, Winsome FC took the competition by storm, dominating every match and ultimately lifting the prestigious cup with an unbeaten record.

In the final match of the league, Winsome FC delivered a spectacular performance, defeating Ndame Fa of Kwale with a resounding 3-0 victory. The team’s impeccable display of skill, strategy, and teamwork solidified their status as the league’s top contenders.
