Ogbia Brothers For Good Governance, OBGG, Refutes Allegations Made By Nicholas Nathaniel Against Dennis Otuaro, Says Nicholas Is Not An Ex-Agitator, Urges Niger Deltans To Disregard His Baseless Allegations -

The Ogbia Brothers for Good Governance (OBGG), under the leadership of Amb. Azibagiri Itabai, categorically refutes the unfounded allegations made by Nicholas Nathaniel regarding the Presidential Amnesty Programme’s treatment of beneficiaries from Ogbia Local Government Area. While we normally would not engage in public disputes over such whimsical claims, we find it necessary to address these assertions to ensure the public is not misled.

It is important to clarify that Nicholas Nathaniel was never an ex-agitator during the pre-amnesty arms agitation era. There is no record of Nicholas Nathaniel in Asaraba Pillar camp, which he falsely claims to have been a part of.

The claims made by Nicholas Nathaniel regarding the Presidential Amnesty Programme are currently under litigation at the Port Harcourt Judicial Division of the Court of Appeal. We will not delve into the specifics of the case, but we emphasize the importance of allowing the judicial process to unfold.

Contrary to Mr. Nathaniel’s claims, we assert that all verified beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme from Ogbia Local Government Area have received their stipends, including those previously affected by Bank Verification Number (BVN) issues. Under the leadership of Chief Dennis Otuaro, the Amnesty Administration has demonstrated exemplary management of resources, even amidst limited federal allocations. This administration has not only met but exceeded expectations—recording the highest number of scholarships awarded in a single year within the history of the programme.

We urge the public to disregard the misleading narratives propagated by Nicholas Nathaniel and recognize the exceptional work being done by the Chief Dennis Otuaro-led administration in supporting and empowering our community’s ex-agitators through the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

We will continue to f!ght for justice and the same time condemn falsehood as it does not depict a good image of the society. We urge our Ogbia Brothers & Niger Deltans to stop the pull him down syndrome but support our political appointees from the Niger Delta and guide them accordingly in the discharge of their functions.
