PAP: Otuaro Holds Critical Meeting With First Phase Amnesty Leaders In Bayelsa, Discusses Sustenance Of Peace, Security, Development In Niger Delta

Highlights His Achievements For The Past 11-Months In Office

Today, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, met with the Bayelsa State First Phase leaders as part of ongoing efforts to foster peace, security, and development in the Niger Delta.

During the meeting, the Administrator highlighted his achievements over the past 11 months, which include:
1. Continuous engagement with stakeholders to ensure peace and security in the region.
2. Deployment of four pilots to South Africa for training.
3. Deployment of 2,000 students for both offshore and onshore educational programs.
4. Deployment of 98 maritime cadets to support the growth of the blue economy.
5. Deployment of 38 aviation engineers to Lagos for specialized training.
He also outlined his vision for the year ahead, which includes:
1. Vocational training for registered beneficiaries.
2. Empowerment of trained beneficiaries in their respective skill areas.
3. Women empowerment programs aimed at equipping and uplifting women in the region.

The Administrator was commended by the leaders for his commitment ensuring peace and stability of the region.
