PAP: Amnesty Administrator Otuaro Pays Courtesy Visits To Ovie Of Uvwie Kingdom

Effurun, Delta State – It was a moment of reverence and mutual respect on Saturday, June 28, as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Chief Dennis Otuaro, Ph.D., paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Dr. Emmanuel Sideso Abe I, JP, OON, at his palace in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The palace gates opened with honour as Chief Otuaro, accompanied by key aides and respected Gbaramatu chiefs, arrived to personally thank the revered monarch for his fatherly support during his appointment as head of the PAP.

Welcoming the delegation alongside him were the monarch’s palace chiefs, adding colour and culture to the atmosphere. The Ovie, known for his wisdom and calm leadership, received the PAP Administrator with warmth, reinforcing the deep bond between traditional institutions and federal leadership.

In his remarks, Chief Otuaro acknowledged the Ovie’s role in shaping peace across the Niger Delta and assured the monarch of his commitment to inclusive development. He emphasized that youths and women would be central to his empowerment agenda.

The Ovie, in response, encouraged the PAP Administrator to remain committed to human capital development and to broaden scholarship opportunities for young people across the region. He offered prayers for divine guidance, success, and wisdom in the responsibilities ahead.

Accompanying Chief Otuaro were his Technical Adviser, Barr. Edgar Biu, and Special Adviser on Projects, Engr. Victor Sokoto, alongside prominent Gbaramatu Kingdom chiefs including Chief Matthew Nafami, Chief Ebimobowei Oguma, Chief Fezigha Odu, Chief Simeon Bebenimibo, and Chief Charles Torusei.

The monarch’s council included High Chief Samuel Esheneke, High Chief Temabor Irire, and Chief Sunny Popo, JP — all present to receive and honour the visiting PAP team.
