Stand with Tantita Security Services: Reject Politically Motivated Campaigns to Destabilize Niger Delta and Undermine National Economic Security
Your Excellency,
We, write to express our deep concern regarding ongoing politically motivated campaigns aimed at discrediting and disrupting the critical operations of Tantita Security Services in the Niger Delta region.
As stakeholders and observers in the region, we bring to your attention a disturbing pattern of smear campaigns calling for the disengagement of Tantita Security Services from their vital role in protecting Nigeria’s oil infrastructure.
These campaigns are not borne out of public interest or objective evaluation of performance, but are deliberate and well-orchestrated attempts by opposition actors and vested interests to destabilize your administration and reverse the progress made in curbing oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
It is clear to us that the ultimate objective of these political actors is to open up the Niger Delta once again to rampant illegal bunkering, oil theft and the destruction of vital oil facilities, all of which had previously brought Nigeria’s economy to its knees. These activities not only rob the nation of billions in revenue but also pollute the environment, harm local communities and undermine national security.
The opposition’s strategy is straightforward: by undermining Tantita’s operations, they aim to weaken your administration’s fight against economic sabotage in the region, cripple Nigeria’s oil revenue base and exploit the resulting economic hardship for political gain in the build-up to the 2027 elections.
Tantita Security Services, under the leadership of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) and High Chief Kestin Pondi with grassroots credibility and a track record of effectiveness, has significantly contributed to reducing oil theft, restoring investor confidence and stabilizing the Niger Delta. Disengaging their services at this crucial time would be a grave mistake and a victory for those who wish to see your government fail.
Your Excellency, we urge you to:
1. Reject these politically driven calls for the removal of Tantita Security Services.
2. Reaffirm your administration’s commitment to the protection of our national economic assets.
3. Continue to support and reinforce Tantita Security Services, whose operations have proven highly effective in protecting vital oil infrastructures and curbing illegal activities in the region.
We stand with Tantita Security Services in the fight against oil bunkering and economic sabotage. More importantly, we stand with your administration in protecting the integrity and prosperity of our nation.
Respectfully,
