WARRI NORTH LGA: Egbema Ijaws Demand Public Apology From Delta State Government Over Misleading Post Made By The Government

Due to mounting pressure from concerned citizens and stakeholders, the official Facebook page of the Delta State Government has taken down its earlier post concerning Warri North Local Government Area. This development clearly shows that falsehood can never and will never stand.
We, the Egbema Ijaws of Warri North, deeply appreciate everyone who raised their voices against this misleading narrative. Your collective efforts ensured that the truth prevailed.
However, simply deleting the post is not enough. As a people, we view this incident as a serious misrepresentation of facts that undermines our identity and history. Therefore, we call on the Delta State Government to go beyond mere retraction by issuing a public apology to the Egbema Ijaws of Warri North.
This call is directed to:
Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State
Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor , Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly
Justice demands not only the correction of falsehood but also the acknowledgment of wrongs done. We expect the Delta State Government to act responsibly in this regard.
