Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has been honoured with the Grand Defender of the Nation Award (Oil & Gas) at the Niger Delta Night of Honor 2025, held on Thursday, August 28, at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja as part of activities marking the 10th Anniversary of GbaramatuVoice.
Receiving the award on behalf of the company, the Managing Director, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin E. Pondi, reaffirmed Tantita’s commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s hydrocarbon assets.
Pondi warned that pipeline vandalism undermines national development and revenue generation.
“Once you touch any pipeline, you hinder the development of this country. Without oil, we would not be able to be who we are; we can’t even pay salaries without the oil,” Pondi said.
He thanked GbaramatuVoice for the recognition and urged Nigerians, particularly those in oil-producing communities, to assist security agencies by reporting threats and suspicious activities around oil facilities.
According to him, protecting oil infrastructure must be seen as a collective responsibility, as Nigeria’s economic stability is tied to its oil wealth.
Pondi further noted that Tantita Security Services remains at the forefront of the Federal Government’s renewed campaign against crude oil theft through community intelligence and advanced surveillance across the Niger Delta.
The presentation of the Grand Defender of the Nation Award (Oil & Gas) to Tantita was one of the high points of the Niger Delta Night of Honor 2025, a celebration of culture, unity, and leadership, marking a decade of GbaramatuVoice amplifying the voices and aspirations of the Niger Delta people.
