“The Stool Of The Olu Of Itsekiri Has Become A Symbol Of Disgrace And Degeneration”__Says Group

WARRI HISTORICAL MOVEMENT PRESS STATEMENT
THE OLU STOOL HAS BECOME A SYMBOL OF DISGRACE AND DEGENERATION
The once-respected throne in Warri, the Olu stool, has fallen from grace. What used to symbolize royalty, wisdom and peace has now become a breeding ground for crime, corruption and moral decay.
We, the Warri Historical Movement, speak with deep disgust and righteous anger at the rot that has consumed what should be a sacred institution for the itshekiris. The Olu stool is fast becoming the most disgraced throne in modern Nigeria, dragged into the mud by those who use the crown to shield drug dealers, arms smugglers and political manipulators.
THE THRONE OF BLOOD AND SHAME
What kind of throne shelters criminals?
What kind of royalty walks hand-in-hand with drug cartels and gunrunners?
Every day, new revelations spill out like filth from a broken sewer:
Stephen Atotse, a known Itsekiri name, arrested with illegal firearms, yet shielded by those who dine in the palace.
Tuoyo, another Itsekiri son, caught by the NDLEA in Lagos with cannabis, laughing gas and multiple hard drugs, a shame the palace refuses to condemn.
Maca Polo, an alleged gunrunner linked to the palace circle, whose operations point fingers directly to Chief Collins Edema, the Olu himself and the Olu’s inner cabal.
And the most alarming, Ayiri Emami’s younger brother, deeply enmeshed in the drug cartel network, flaunting wealth soaked in narcotics and illegal arms.
These are not random individuals, they are names tied to the Olu’s circle, protected by silence and intimidation.
THE THRONE THAT BECAME A CRIMINAL HAVEN
How did a royal stool that should inspire moral discipline become a gathering point for outlaws?
How did a palace once known for peace become the coordination base of violence, blackmail and desperation?
The answer is simple: greed and falsehood.
The Itsekiri leadership has traded truth for treachery. Their obsession with claiming lands that are not theirs has turned them into conspirators of bloodshed. They would rather buy guns than buy peace. They would rather kill truth than accept history.
HISTORY IS WATCHING
The Olu stool today no longer represents the dignity of any people. It has become the laughingstock of the Niger Delta, a throne swimming in deceit and guarded by drug barons and gunrunners.
Warri cannot move forward when a so-called palace is tied to criminality.
A people who cannot face their history will forever live in the shadow of disgrace.
A throne that shields killers cannot claim divine authority.
OUR DEMAND
The Warri Historical Movement calls on:
The Federal Government of Nigeria,
The National Security Adviser (NSA),
The DSS,
The NDLEA, and
The Nigerian Police Force,
to launch a full-scale investigation into the criminal network surrounding the Olu of Itsekiri’s palace. No title, no crown and no royal robe should protect anyone from justice.
The time of pretence is over.
If this silence continues, it will only embolden evil.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
We are tired of watching this moral decay spread like cancer while the state pretends not to see.
We refuse to let our region become the stronghold of hypocrisy and hard drugs.
We will no longer stay quiet while a throne built on fraud and violence continues to insult the intelligence of Nigerians.
The Olu stool must be cleansed or it will collapse under the weight of its own corruption.
The palace must choose, to be a place of peace or a pit of perdition.
History will remember this moment and it will not forgive silence.
