The leadership of the Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria(NDYCN) on Wednesday declared total support for the Presidential Amnesty Programme under the leadership of Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro, saying his administration remain the most peaceful, stable, and development-driven since the inception of the programme.

The Council further distance itself from reckless comments made by one Ufuoma Beecham claiming to be speaking for the organisation.

MDYCN therefore described Beecham as an Impostor, insisting that his attempt to run a parallel structure is criminal, fraudulent, and completely rejected.

The organisation in a statement by its authentic National President, Amb. Blessing Adogbeji frowned at the activities of Ufuoma Beecham, stressing that the statements made by him do not represent yearning and aspirations of NDYCN.

Ambassador Adogbeji who was reacting to some comments in a section of the media credited Ufuoma Beecham, insisted that those comments represent only Ufuoma’s personal frustration, desperation, and failed attempt to seek relevance through impersonation.

He said, ” My attention has been drawn to a highly irresponsible and misleading publication made by Mr. Becham Ufuoma, who has been parading himself as “President” of the Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria (NDYCN) and issuing reckless statements targeted at respected leaders of the Niger Delta region.

“For clarity and public understanding, Mr. Becham Ufuoma is an impostor. He has never been elected, appointed, nominated, or endorsed at any level of the NDYCN structure and operates with no mandate and no legitimacy whatsoever.

“NDYCN has only ONE recognized National Presidentt which is vested in Amb. Blessing Adogbeji, duly acknowledged by stakeholders, youth blocs, regional leadership, and partnering institutions across the Niger Delta.

“NDYCN strongly distances itself from Ufuoma’s reckless comments. No individual can form a one-man contraption and attempt to drag a respected Niger Delta institution into disrepute. NDYCN will not tolerate such impersonation.

“The Niger Delta Youth Council stands firmly with the Presidential Amnesty Programme under the leadership of Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro.”,he said

Amb Adogbeji reaffirmed NDYCN support for Chief Otuaro’s leadership, saying that his administration remains the most peaceful, stable, and development-driven since the inception of the programme.

He added that Otuaro hands-on engagement, transparency, and impact across the region speak for themselves, stating that anyone attacking Chief Otuaro without facts is simply exposing his own ignorance and lack of understanding of Niger Delta governance dynamics.

“The NDYCN will continue to defend and support credible leadership that delivers results. The public is hereby advised to disregard the impostor’s publication in its entirety. He has no platform, no constituency, and no authority to speak for the Niger Delta youths.

“NDYCN remains focused on unity, strategic engagement, and regional development and we will not allow desperate, unauthorized individuals to undermine the integrity of this great institution”, the statement concluded.
