Delta Elders Group Makes Rebuttal To News Spread By Itsekiris Linking Tantita Security Services To Venezuelan Vessel Apprehended By U S Forces, Describes News As False, Untrue And Born Out Of Envy
By Freeborn Abraye
REFUTAL WITH FACTS & UNRESERVED COMMENDATION FOR TANTITA SECURITY SERVICES LIMITED
We write with righteous clarity of facts and the authority of elders who have seen the Niger Delta bleed, burn and finally begin to breathe again. This letter is necessitated by the reckless circulation of falsehoods, deliberate misinformation and sponsored hatred aimed at tarnishing the name, credibility and achievements of Tantita Security Services Limited.
Let it be stated clearly and without ambiguity:
The viral image and claims suggesting that the United States seized a “Nigerian-owned supertanker for crude oil theft and piracy” have absolutely NOTHING to do with Tantita Security Services Limited. This is a blatant lie.
Verified international reports from Reuters, Associated Press (AP), PBS NewsHour and TIME Magazine confirm that the vessel Skipper was seized off the coast of Venezuela as part of a U.S. sanctions, enforcement operation. It has no link, direct or indirect to Nigeria, the Niger Delta or Tantita’s oil-protection mandate. Any attempt to drag Tantita into this foreign incident is wicked, intellectually dishonest and politically motivated.
We therefore warn, without mincing words:
Haters of Tantita should stay far away from Tantita. Enough of weaponizing lies to sabotage progress.
Tantita is not just a company. Tantita is a national intervention, a security revolution and a lifeline to Nigeria’s collapsing oil economy. Before Tantita, crude oil theft was an industry of chaos. Pipelines were slaughtered daily, production plummeted, communities were militarized by criminals and Nigeria bled billions of dollars monthly. The nation was mocked globally as a country that could not protect its own resources.
Then Tantita stepped in and the story changed.
Through intelligence driven surveillance, community-rooted operations and swift-response security architecture, Tantita has achieved what many thought impossible:
A massive reduction in crude oil theft, independently assessed at up to 79%.
Restoration of investor confidence in Nigeria’s oil sector.
Increased oil production and improved national revenue.
Strong collaboration with the Nigerian Navy, NSCDC, NNPCL, and host communities.
Peaceful engagement of youths who were once pushed into criminality by neglect.
These are not propaganda claims. These are verifiable results acknowledged by government institutions, industry stakeholders and international observers.
It is therefore no surprise that Tantita has received:
Security Company of the Year – Independent Newspapers
Best Private Security Outfit – New Telegraph Awards
Outstanding Oil & Gas Security Company – Vanguard
Formal commendations from the Delta State Government
Recognition at OTC 2025 for leadership in energy security
Endorsements and commendations from NNPCL, Nigerian Navy, NSCDC and numerous Niger Delta communities
Tangible CSR interventions, including scholarships and community support programs
These achievements expose the real problem: Tantita’s success has unsettled entrenched interests who thrived when oil theft was the norm. Those who benefited from chaos are angry that order has returned. Those who fed fat on national loss are bitter that accountability now has a name and structure.
To the Presidency and the National Security Adviser, we say this plainly: Tantita Security Services Limited deserves protection, support and strengthening, not sabotage through lies. Any attempt to weaken Tantita through misinformation is an indirect attack on Nigeria’s economic security and national stability.
To the Nigerian public, we urge discernment. Do not allow social media poison and sponsored narratives to blind you to progress. Nigeria cannot move forward by destroying institutions that are working.
And to the merchants of hatred and falsehood:
Back off.
Tantita is beyond your lies.
Tantita is beyond your propaganda.
Tantita’s results are louder than your noise.
The Niger Delta has paid too much in blood and poverty for Nigeria’s oil wealth. For once, a system is working. We will not allow it to be destroyed by envy, misinformation or political mischief.
Enough is enough.
