The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has commissioned the NextGen Reading Culture Initiative Centre at Opuedebubor during the Amafinide Uge Festival in Opuedebubor Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State.

The initiative, conceived and nurtured by Mrs. Lizzy Oguma, is aimed at promoting a strong reading culture among children and youths in riverine communities, with a focus on preparing the next generation for leadership and intellectual development.

The centre is expected to serve as a hub for learning, reading, and capacity building, underscoring the role of education as the foundation for human mental development and effective leadership.
