BREAKING: Court Restrains Jude Gbaboyor From Blackmailing PAP Administrator Dennis Otuaro

High Court of Delta State sitting at the Warri Judicial Division today the 5th day of February 2026 granted an interim injunction, restraining Jude Gbaboyor Akpodubakaye pending the hearing of the interlocutory injunction in Suit No. W/39/2025 between Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro vs Jude Gbaboyor Akpodubakaye. The Court presided over by Hon. Justice A. O. Akpovi granted the lone prayer of the Claimant/Applicant, Chief (Dr.) Dennis Brutu Otuaro for “AN INTERIM INJUNCTION restraining the Defendant by himself, privies, assigns or anybody acting on his instructions or authority from posting disparaging, damaging and defaming posts against the Claimant to injure his character and reputation in any of the social media platforms of Meta and X; online or print media platforms or take any steps to render the court in a state of complete hopelessness pending the determination of the motion on notice”.

Chief Dennis Otuaro instituted this Suit for defamation of character against Jude Gbaboyo Akpodubakaye on the 29th day of January 2025. While the matter was pending before the Court, the said Jude Gbaboyor Akpodubakaye went ahead to post other defamatory videos against the Claimant on the 6th of December 2025. Hence, the Claimant brought this application to restrain Jude Gbaboyor Akpodubakaye from defaming the Claimant pending the determination of the substantive matter.

The Claimant/Applicant was represented by B. E. Oghenekaro (Mrs.) a lawyer in chambers in the Law Firm of Otuaro and Otuaro Associates. The case is adjourned to the 30th day of March and 27th day of April 2026 for the hearing of the Motion for Interlocutory Injunction and Pretrial Conference.
