My dear brother and Excellency, Douye Diri, on this special day when the entire world is celebrating love and appreciation, I specially salute you and thank God for the 6th Anniversary of your mandate as Governor of Bayelsa State and leader of the South-South people.

Your imprint in breaking the glass ceiling in the infrastructural development of the difficult terrain of Bayelsa State is completely awesome and profound. Roads, bridges and interconnect of farflung communities in the creeks of the Niger Delta will be spoken about for generations unborn. Same story abounds on how you touch lives of our people on social welfarism and people centered impact. You indeed earn, befittingly, the sobriquent “Prosperity Governor”. Now, Bayelsa State stands shoulders high in the comity of states in Nigeria, in terms of progress and forward march.

And now, your peers, our other Governors of the South-South geopolitical zone, have, distinctly accorded you the bellwether of being their Chairman and leader. A big and lofty accolade which you are equal to. We are confident that you will continue to lead us alright.

My prayer is that God Almighty, whom we bear witness, your fathers pasts served with devotion and who has brought you thus far with energize you, unflagging to the finish line. May you continue to remain in grace and blessings, and focused, even as you and the people of Bayelsa State continue to abound in grace and favour.
