Three Ijaw governorship aspirants, Chief Braduce Angozi, Senator James Manager, and the Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, met with the Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, led by the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha kingdom, on Monday, as they slug it out in the race for the Dennis Osadebey House in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kingsley Otuaro, the state’s deputy governor, has expressed interest in running for governor in 2023. James Manager, the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, and Braduce Angozi, the former Delta State Commissioner for Agriculture, have both expressed interest.
The meeting’s details had not been revealed to the public as of the time of filing this report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, certain major politicians in Delta State have expressed interest in succeeding Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, whose term as governor expires in 2023. Former Chief of Staff David Edevbie, current Deputy Governor Kingsley Otuaro, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, current Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Senator James Manager, and Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege are among them. Because of the zoning agreement, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has yet to name his successor or endorse anyone. However, many political pundits believe that the next governor of the state should come from the Ijaw in Delta South. Some people, on the other hand, have referred to the pact as a gentleman’s agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
