First and foremost, I wish extend my congratulations to the state government for clocking 30yrs. Your Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki, since the creation of the state, the ijaws in the state has no meaningful development in their areas starting from Ovia South West L.G.A, Ovia North East L.G.A and Ikpoba Okah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The only government presence we feel is voting during election. Apart from that, nothing to write home about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We don’t have good roads, electricity and in terms of academics, we are zero. Which reveals that we are far backward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is on this note I Comrade Lemon Austin Uduwei, wish to use this avenue to urge you Your Excellency. To make the difference in the riverine areas of the aforementioned local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I further urge you to recognize our traditional stools in the five kingdoms in the state. And also, as a matter of urgency, look into the plight of the Okomu kingdom, which host Okomu National Park and Okomu Oil Palm company plc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kingdom is a burden of under-development, and there is no single government recognized secondary school in the whole kingdom. The only existing government primary school is a shadow of itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Excellency sir, I want state that the ijaws are not slaves in Edo State. As such, must be considered in the governance of the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
