The Ijaw Pastors and Ministers Fellowship (IPMF) has appointed a new National Executive to pilot the affairs of the body.
The new leadership led by Pastor Paddy Pade Akpas, was appointed during an indoor meeting in Warri, Delta State.
Founding President, Bishop Samson Amajene, in his handing over speech said the objectives of the fellowship are geared towards the unity and welfare of members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe mandate of the IPMF is for Ijaw pastors and ministers to come together in oneness to pray for Ijaw nation and evangelize to our people.\u201dWe\u2019ve gone to Edo, Rivers, Ondo, Bayelsa, Lagos, and every state where Ijaws can be found across the country since 2011 when we began in Delta State. “Not only are we doing this, we are also a recognized body with a certificate of incorporation. \u201cAnother mandate of this body is to support one another. If as pastors we don\u2019t support one another, how can we grow? IPMF is an umbrella body that brings all ministers of Ijaw extraction together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On how the new leadership led by Pastor Paddy Akpas was arrived upon, Bishop Amajene said; \u201cI was led to pick him as our new President. We have been working together whenever we have our International Bible Study in the United States on Zoom he has been calling in from Nigeria and we sharing ideas, and on the IPMF platform he has consistently shared messages and capacity building materials to support ministers and pastors development, and I was led by the Lord to picked him after due consultations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cI appeal that we all work together with the new leadership led by Pastor Akpas to bring development to the body and Ijaw nation as whole\u201d Amajene said.
He charged the new leadership to make it a priority that members of the fellowship take part in the yearly pilgrimage exercises. The new leadership will take advantage of both the state and national pilgrim slots to enable more Ijaw Pastors \/Ministers travel to Israel,\u201d saying the development of IPMF members is of great concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bishop Amajene also noted that the Ijaw Diaspora Christian Organization (IDCO) which he also founded in US to bring Ijaw Christians in Diaspora and IPMF will collaborate and work together as sister organizations, and as such, any program the former (IDCO) will be having in Nigeria, the latter (IPMF) will be in full participation.
He said the global body was already working out modalities to kick-off a program for widows in no distant time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet\u2019s work together with the Ijaw Christians in Diaspora to further help us build a strong bond and synergy,\u201d That members of (IPMF) should make concerted efforts in attending the International Bible Study Program by IDCO and other programs to create the oneness, stressing that the world is a global village, and we need to explore social media platforms: Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram etc work together, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outgoing President further handed over documents, bank account cheque book, and equipment to the new executives, which he said was to empower the new leadership of the IPMF to carry on the mandate.
Some of the equipment handed over include lead guitar, bass guitar, mixer, power amp, wires, lamps, keyboard and keyboard stand, mixer amplifier, and bags of clothes etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Pastor Alex Kenerekedi, the Delta State Chapter Chairman\/Programs\/Security, expressed gratitude for being appointed to serve and assured that he and other appointees will give in their all towards the progress of the organization.
In the same vein, the new National Secretary of IPMF Pastor Erik Eko, thanked God and the leadership of the body for counting them worthy of a global vision such as this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn behalf of the new national executive , I want to promise that we will do our best through the sufficient grace of God,\u201d Eko assured.
Using 2 Timothy 2:19, Rev. Emmanuel Imeleye, Adviser IPMF, in his address to the new executives charged them to be leaders of like minds with the founding president.
He noted that the outgoing president has many positive testimonies from far and wide, and tasked them to follow in his footsteps and do more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
