The tour, which began on Tuesday, the 9th of July 2024, aims at addressing the educational challenges faced by these communities, in order to foster developmental projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The journey kicked off at 10:00 am from Newman Jetty at NPA, with the first stop being EGWA 1 at 11:00 am. Accompanying Mr. Kingsley were prominent members of the GYC, including Vice President Apst. Stephen Uyas Epere, Secretary Mr. Erike Tare Raphael, Public Relations Office, Mr. Maxwell Wuruyai, Assistant Secretary Ms. Tolar Theresa, Treasurer Bolei Juliet, and Organizer Doubra Padowei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the tour saw participation from other youth leaders and sister bodies in the kingdom. The likes of Comrade Douye Simon, President of National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS), and Ms. Abei Edith, Director of Socials (D.O.S) NAGS, Apiti O. Phanuel, President of Kurutie Community, Kenyangbene community Youth President, Mr. John Peres, Hon. Elvis Atamba and Sir Eguare Prosper, Vice President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC). While the media coverage was provided by Coastal Time Media, Penglobal, and Gbaramatu Voice Media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visit To Kere Primary School, EGWA 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon arrival at EGWA 1, the delegation met with the Head Master of Kere Primary School, Mr. Agiama Samson, who highlighted the school&#8217;s pressing challenges, such as, the need for more teachers, repairs and renovation of the dilapidated school structures, as well as the provision of adequate furnitures for the teachers&#8217; quarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Samson further emphasized the urgency of addressing these issues. Stating that it will create a conducive learning environment for the pupils in the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visit To Okerenkoko Federated Communities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon the arrival of the GYC Team to Okerenkoko Community, the Headmaster of Okerenkoko primary school, Comrade Ese Ovhorokpa, also highlighted the necessity for immediate developmental projects in the school to enhance the learning process. While commending the GYC Team for initiating the tour. Asserting that their genuine passion for the educational advancement of Gbaramatu Kingdom will further catalyze positive change needed in the education sector of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visit To Pepe-Ama Community<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next stop of the GYC tour was Pepe-Ama Community, where the Team was warmly welcomed by members of the community.<br>After which, the GYC President Mr. Kingsley Egbejule explained the purpose of the visit to the community. Emphasizing the need for more qualified teachers, and supply of sufficient teaching materials to aid the teaching and learning process in Pepe-Ama Primary School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visit To Kenyangbene Community<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. Nancy Oghenerukevwe, (Head Mistress ) kenyangbene primary school outlined the significant challenges faced by the school, including rising sea levels, lack of writing boards and desks, and insufficient teaching staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. Oghenerukevwe also narrated her efforts since 2022, in improving the educational standard of the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the Kenyangbene primary school Headmistress revealed to the GYC Team, how community members have been helping to raise funds to procure desks from Ojojo Primary School in Warri.<br \/>She as well mentioned a community-implemented law to prevent pupils from skipping school to fetch seafood. Appreciating the community members for their relentless support to the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his part, the Kenyangbene community Youth President, Mr. John Peres appreciated the GYC President and his entourage for embarking on the timely tour, as he encouraged the Team to always collaborate with local youth leaders in order to ensure total reform of the educational system in the kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visit To Oporoza Community<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final destination of the day one ( 1 ) of the GYC tour was concluded at Oporoza Community, which serves as the base of operations for the GYC&#8217;s educational mission.<br>The tour&#8217;s success was marked by the positive interactions and commitments made to address the educational needs of the various communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conclusively, the GYC&#8217;s educational tour signifies a significant step towards improving education in Gbaramatu Kingdom.<br>As the council aims at overcome the challenges faced by local schools, to ensure a brighter future for the children and youth of the kingdom, through collaborative efforts and community
