On Monday the 22nd of July, 2024, saw an official visit by Presidential Amnesty Programme Administrator High Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro to the program’s Delta\/Edo States Liaison office, which is situated in Warri, Delta State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The manager of the Delta\/Edo Liaison Office, Captain Presley Prebor, and the assistant manager, Prince Seleakpo Botu, warmly welcomed the Administrator, who was accompanied by the Technical Adviser, Mr. Daniel Edgar Biu, The General Manager Of Operations & Technical Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Sir Godfrey Tare Pondi, Chief Fezigha Odu, Chief Ebimobowei Oguma, S.A to the Administrator, Chief Moses Bebenimibo, Engr. Ebikonde Victor Sokoto, and other notable individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As is typical for the Ijaw people to entertain guests, the Manager and the employees of the liaison office immediately began their entertainment for the visitors after exchanging pleasantries. The Manager and Employees of the Liaison Office were then cautioned by Administrator Dr. Dennis Otuaro to always collaborate with the Head Office in Abuja about information sharing and other pertinent matters that affect the PAP. highlighting the fact that doing so will guarantee friendly working ties between the Abuja head office and the liaison office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He continued by admonishing the staff not to conduct any personal business while they were in the office, threatening to fire any employee who did so in addition to their assigned duties, which included properly engaging PAP delegates and reporting any issues or problems to the head office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Otuaro also gave the liaison office management a directive to constantly report any office-related issues that might be impeding productivity to the head office in Abuja. In order to guarantee a progressive and favorable working environment and to enable such difficulties to be promptly handled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Otuaro further emphasized that the liaison office should be accessible to address any legitimate grievances from delegates and forward them to the head office for proper resolution. The Presidential Ambesty Office, he claimed, is a nonpartisan agency that is unaffiliated with any political party or person. As a result, it is requested that the Manager and the employees refrain from discussing politics or any associated matters with one another when performing their official tasks at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, he emphasized that all activities that must be completed in the liaison office should support the Head Office in maintaining and advancing the peace in the Niger Delta region. as the program’s main goal is to achieve this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While tending to each delegate, Otuaro also urged them to be courteous and patient. mentioning that the liaison office is the delegate’s first point of contact if they are unable to travel to the main office in Abuja to file a complaint. As a result, when handling the concerns from these delegates, advised the personnel to behave appropriately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, the PAP Administrator admonished the liaison office management not to utilize the space as a haven for issues of any kind. Instead, they ought to offer answers to the problems the delegates presented to them. Reiterating his previous stance, which was that everything done in the office should enhance and maintain the Niger Delta region’s general peace process. In addition, they assist the federal government in preserving law and order as well as the states within the liaison office’s jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of the Liaison Office: Capt. Presley Prebor, Manager, expressed gratitude to the Administrator for thinking it appropriate to stop by the Liaison Office. claiming that his presence will provide the employees more motivation and self-assurance to perform their own tasks at the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Administrator was then given a list of needs by Capt. Presley to ensure the office ran well and improve the working conditions for the workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capt. Presley, speaking for the liaison office, gave the Administrator a list of requirements, the most important of which is the need for more space in the office. Claiming that the growth of personnel has resulted in a congestion of the current office space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prince Seleakpo Botu, the assistant manager, went into further detail regarding the matter of the office space. Revealing that the previous administration only intended for the current office space to hold eight (8) employees. which, according to him, is currently inhabited by 22 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He thus joined his voice to the Manager\u2019s to plead that the Administrator look into their request. Stating that by doing this, the liaison office’s management and employees would be better equipped to fulfill their statutory obligations to the PAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
