{"id":3046,"date":"2024-08-28T15:53:50","date_gmt":"2024-08-28T15:53:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coastaltimes.com.ng\/index.php\/2024\/08\/28\/show-commitment-to-national-development-unity-pap-boss-otuaro-charges-nigerian-students\/"},"modified":"2024-08-28T15:53:50","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T15:53:50","slug":"show-commitment-to-national-development-unity-pap-boss-otuaro-charges-nigerian-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coastaltimes.com.ng\/index.php\/2024\/08\/28\/show-commitment-to-national-development-unity-pap-boss-otuaro-charges-nigerian-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Show Commitment To National Development, Unity, PAP Boss Otuaro Charges Nigerian Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Joy Ukaegbu <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Dedicates &#8216;Icon Of Community Development&#8217; Award To Tinubu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr Dennis Otuaro, has urged Nigerian students to always demonstrate patriotism and commitment towards the development and unity of the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otuaro, offered the advice while making his remarks at the inaugural National Tech Summit themed &#8220;Empowering Nigerian Students Through Tech&#8221;, held in Abuja on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stressed that the country&#8217;s future lies in the hands of the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The summit was organised by the leaderships of the National Association of University Students (NAUS), National Association of Polytechnics Students (NAPS) and National Association of Colleges of Education Students (NACES) with sponsorship by the Nigeria Customs Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A press release signed by the Special Assistant on Media to the PAP Administrator, Mr Igoniko Oduma, on Wednesday, said Otuaro was bestowed with an award of &#8216;Icon of Community Development&#8217; by the Nigerian students at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Amnesty Boss encouraged students across the country to realise that their dedication and hard work, among others, were the catalysts for the building of a secure, prosperous, peaceful and technologically-driven nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otuaro, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Special Duties, Dinyain Tuebi, noted that education and technological empowerment were critical pillars for national growth and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also urged the students to take leadership seriously and embody the values of integrity, service and excellence while contributing meaningfully to nation building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that the students are the pillars upon which the future of Nigeria rests, and must be conscious of their critical place in the nation\u2019s existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He lauded the joint leaderships of the NAUS, NAPS and NANCES for the summit, adding that the initiative showed their shared vision of using technology to advance their education and future careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PAP boss thanked the student bodies for the award which he dedicated to President Bola Tinubu and other stakeholders &#8220;who have been working tirelessly to foster peace, stability and development in our beloved nation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said, &#8220;This summit embodies the spirit of resilience, creativity and determination that is synonymous with the Nigerian student.
