{"id":3150,"date":"2024-10-08T12:32:46","date_gmt":"2024-10-08T12:32:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coastaltimes.com.ng\/index.php\/2024\/10\/08\/pap-former-niger-delta-ex-agitator-tonye-bobo-urges-dr-dennis-otuaro-not-to-be-distracted-by-blackmails-says-enemies-of-niger-delta-fighting-him\/"},"modified":"2024-10-08T12:32:46","modified_gmt":"2024-10-08T12:32:46","slug":"pap-former-niger-delta-ex-agitator-tonye-bobo-urges-dr-dennis-otuaro-not-to-be-distracted-by-blackmails-says-enemies-of-niger-delta-fighting-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coastaltimes.com.ng\/index.php\/2024\/10\/08\/pap-former-niger-delta-ex-agitator-tonye-bobo-urges-dr-dennis-otuaro-not-to-be-distracted-by-blackmails-says-enemies-of-niger-delta-fighting-him\/","title":{"rendered":"PAP: Former Niger Delta Ex-Agitator Tonye Bobo Urges Dr Dennis Otuaro Not To Be Distracted By Blackmails, Says Enemies Of Niger Delta Fighting Him"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Freeborn Abraye <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A former ex-agitator in the Niger Delta region, Mr. Bobo Tonye aka Sir T, has dismissed calls for the sack of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Otuaro, over the alleged leak of a confidential security document in the social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tonye, who is a former leader of phase three ex-agitators in the region, noted that the call for his sack is part of a grand conspiracy to bring the Niger Delta back to the days of restiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was gathered that a group, the Ogbe-Ijoh Interest and Defensive Forum, had called on President Bola Tinubu to sack Otuaro over the alleged leakage of the said document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spokesman of the group, Comrade Stanley Ebilabor said a confidential document signed by Dr. Victor Ben Ebiakabowei, alias Boyloaf, surfaced on social media said to be published by a Facebook profile \u201cMeibotu Voice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the account featured the face of Otuaro as their cover profile picture, alongside images of Okah who is in detention in South Africa over the 1st October 2010 bomb blast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But in a statement on Tuesday, Bobo insisted that the purveyors of the alleged document are enemies of the Niger Delta who are blackmailing Otuaro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBecause of the remarkable reforms instituted by Dr. Otuaro to positively reposition the programme, so many people who saw the programme as their cocoa farm are not happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is clear to any discerning mind that this is a clear case of enemies of the region blackmailing the Amnesty Boss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOtuaro striving to include all stakeholders in the Niger Delta in the programme is being seen as a threat to the status quo.
