Comrade Joseph Evah, the president\/coordinator of the Ijaw Monitoring Group (IMG), has launched a children’s deworming program in Oporoza, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, starting Thursday, November 14, 2024. This initiative aims to improve the health and well-being of children in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deworming program is a significant step towards addressing health challenges in the Niger Delta region. However, Evah through the Ijaw Female Students’ Association has been working in the Niger Delta to promote economic development, peacebuilding, and health initiatives over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program is expected to have a positive impact on the community, particularly in reducing the prevalence of intestinal worms among children, which can lead to malnutrition, anemia, and other health issues.
