In a bid to reinforce security efforts in the Niger Delta, the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abubakar Ahmed Audi, visited the operational headquarters of Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSNL) in Warri. The visit aimed at deepening the ongoing partnership between the NSCDC and Tantita in tackling oil theft and safeguarding national assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the engagement, the Managing Director of TSSNL, Kestin Pondi, emphasized the company\u2019s significant contributions to curbing crude oil theft and restoring environmental stability in the region. He noted that the collaborative efforts between Tantita and government security agencies have yielded remarkable results, leading to an increase in crude oil production and improved aquatic life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs of today, we have surpassed two million barrels per day in crude oil production. Our waters are now very clean, and our people can fish again. Before now, if you threw bread into the river, you would hardly see any fish eating it. But today, thanks to Tantita Security Services, the fishes are back,\u201d Pondi stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s administration for providing a fair and enabling environment for private security firms engaged in the fight against oil theft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen you give someone a job, another thing is to ensure fairness. We must appreciate the government for allowing us to operate effectively,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NSCDC Commandant-General, who is on a security assessment tour of the Niger Delta, commended Tantita for its commitment to safeguarding oil infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am on a tour to assess security operations in the region and I must commend Tantita for its efforts. You are not the only ones securing pipelines, but you are doing well, particularly in terms of welfare. That is why we have maintained a strong collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
