OPEN PROTEST LETTER TO THE PRESIDENCY, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER, INEC, THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AND THE NIGERIAN PUBLIC<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RE: UNHOLY ALLIANCE TO DERAIL DEMOCRACY \u2013 REPORTS OF SECRET MEETING BETWEEN THE OLU OF WARRI AND FIRST LADY REMI TINUBU TO SABOTAGE INEC’S WARD DELINEATION PROCESS GOING ON NOW<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World Must Hear This!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We, the oppressed yet resilient indigenous stakeholders of Warri Federal Constituency, particularly from the Ijaw and Urhobo ethnic nationalities, write this letter in pain, in rage and in protest. The time for whispers has passed. We can no longer remain silent while a treacherous ethnic conspiracy is being hatched at the highest levels to destroy justice, suppress truth and undermine democracy in Delta State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Credible intelligence reaching our coalition has revealed that the Olu of Warri is currently engaged in secret discussions with Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, aimed at stopping the ward delineation process being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This unholy meeting, if true, is a disgraceful assault on the Supreme Court judgment of 2022 (SC.413\/2016) and an unforgivable insult to the ethnic balance and peace of the Niger Delta region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask. Who gave the Olu of Warri the power to dictate electoral boundaries?
Who empowered him to hijack democratic processes meant to reflect population size and indigenous identity?
Is Nigeria now a monarchy ruled by private interests and bedroom conspiracies?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OUR LAND, OUR VOICE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ijaws and Urhobos of Warri are not tenants. We are not squatters. We are the first sons of this soil, whose ancestors welcomed the Itsekiri as neighbors, not rulers. But for decades, we have endured land theft, historical falsification, electoral marginalization and now, shameless political lobbying at the Presidency just to keep us in political bondage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let it be clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Olu of Itshekiri is a king to his people alone, not to all of Warri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ward delineation is not an ethnic war, it is a Supreme Court-ordered constitutional process to restore justice and correct years of imbalance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INEC is not under the authority of the First Lady, the Olu or any palace clique. It answers only to the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WE DEMAND IMMEDIATE ACTION<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hereby make the following demands:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu must publicly dissociate his government from this ethnic interference in the INEC delineation process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The Office of the First Lady must come clean, is Remi Tinubu now the Minister for Ethnic Privileges?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. INEC must immediately publish the final ward delineation report for Warri Federal Constituency as ordered by the Supreme Court.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The Olu of Warri must stop meddling in constitutional democracy. If he wishes to run Nigeria, let him contest elections, not hold night meetings with political elites.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. We call on the United Nations, ECOWAS, African Union and Amnesty International to monitor this dangerous attempt to derail democratic processes in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    LET THE NATION CHOOSE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Let the world judge between truth and manipulation, between ancestral ownership and colonial fraud, between democracy and monarchy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If the ward delineation must be stopped, then let it be done in court, not in corridors of influence and secret meetings that reek of betrayal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We are not afraid. We will not back down.
    This injustice will not stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
