INTRODUCTION: THE DANGEROUS SILENCE THAT PRECEDES CONFLICT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Nigerians,
We write with a burdened heart and burning outrage. We write not to accuse, but to awaken. Not to beg, but to warn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A dark game is unfolding in Warri, a game played not by the poor, not by the struggling youth but by the powerful women hiding behind the curtains of government. The First Lady of Nigeria Mrs, Remy Tinubu and Mrs. Daisy Danjuma, wife of a former Defense Minister, have descended into a terrain where blood once flowed, where ethnic wounds are still unhealed and where their meddling could spark a catastrophe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their silent moves, veiled lobbying and arrogant interference in INEC\u2019s constitutional duties are fueling the embers of war in Warri Federal Constituency.
If the nation does not speak now, history will record its silence as complicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. WHEN POWER BECOMES A WEAPON<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Behind every unstable region in Nigeria is a powerful hand manipulating the balance for personal gain. In Warri, that hand is now clearly linked to Mrs. Daisy Danjuma and the First Lady of Nigeria. These women are not passive observers, they are active participants, backing a colonial throne and aiding the suppression of a constitutional process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Why is the First Lady meddling in an electoral delineation process already upheld by the Supreme Court?
    Why is Daisy Danjuma lobbying behind closed doors to cancel the ward delineation report that reflects the Ijaw and Urhobo population majority?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We say it clearly: You are not protecting democracy, you are protecting tribal supremacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. FROM BEHIND THE CURTAINS: DAISY DANJUMA\u2019S ROLE IN INEC INTERFERENCE<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      What moral or constitutional authority does Mrs. Daisy Danjuma possess to interfere in INEC’s affairs?
      She was neither elected nor appointed to any role in the Commission, yet her hands are in every backdoor maneuver to suppress the release of the final delineation report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Her motivation is tribal. Her method is elitist. Her goal is dangerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Let the nation know: the INEC delineation exercise was ordered by Supreme Court judgment SC\/CV\/1033\/2023 (Timimini v. INEC). It is final. It is binding. It is not subject to negotiation by tribal aristocrats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. THE DANGER OF SILENCE: THE FIRST LADY\u2019S COMPLICITY<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        The First Lady\u2019s silence is no longer neutral, it is loud complicity.
        She has refused to speak against Itsekiri threats, refused to acknowledge the Supreme Court judgment and has allegedly shielded political actors working to suppress the INEC report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Madam First Lady, if your husband\u2019s administration is allowing this injustice under your silent watch, then your name will be remembered not as a mother of the nation, but as one who watched Warri burn and looked away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        1. STATE CAPTURE IN ETHNIC GARB<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          What we are witnessing is state capture, not by politicians, but by tribal loyalists in high places.
          This is not democracy. This is ethnic imperialism in disguise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          How can INEC, an independent constitutional body, be held hostage by two elite women who want to protect an expired kingdom with no ancestral jurisdiction over Ijaw or Urhobo lands?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          This is not governance. This is tribal sabotage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          1. A NATION ON THE BRINK<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            To ECOWAS, AU, the UN and the world:
            Warri is a timebomb and those lighting the fuse are not in the creeks, they are in Abuja.
            Their names are known. Their silence is deafening. Their influence is choking the democratic will of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            We do not want war. But if injustice continues to provoke the people, the consequences will not be poetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            1. POWER SHOULD NOT BE TRIBAL<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              This is not about Itsekiri vs Ijaw. This is about right vs privilege.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              The delineation reflects population, landmass, and settlements. Over 100 Ijaw, Urhobo and Itshekiri communities were visited by INEC. Yet some elites now say, \u201cIt doesn\u2019t favor us, so cancel it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Why is the Presidency allowing ethnic favoritism to override a valid Supreme Court ruling?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. STOP WEAPONIZING ETHNICITY<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                We, the Ijaw people, are not rebels.
                We are not criminals.
                We are Nigerians, with rights enshrined in the Constitution.
                We went to court. We followed due process. We won. We have obeyed the law more than the law has protected us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                What we are demanding is not special treatment, it is justice that was delayed for over 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  \n
                1. HISTORY WILL REMEMBER<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  If another ethnic crisis erupts in Warri, the names of those who enabled it will be written in blood and shame.
                  And yes, we will name the First Lady.
                  Yes, we will name Mrs. Daisy Danjuma.
                  Yes, we will remember those who had the power to stop it and chose to stir it instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  1. A BORROWED CROWN CANNOT SILENCE A MAJORITY<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                    The so-called \u201cOlu of Warri\u201d is a colonial invention. His throne is built on land granted by Ijaw ancestors, not inherited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    \n

                    \u201cThe Itsekiris are a landless group\u2026 dependent on Benin patronage.\u201d

                    \u201cWhen Ginuwa arrived from Benin, the Ijaws had already settled across the creeks of Warri.\u201d

                    How can a crown that rules over only one tribe threaten the destiny of over 100 Ijaw and Urhobo communities?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    Let INEC publish the truth. Let the Olu face the truth. Let the borrowed crown know that its silence will not erase our population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      \n
                    1. LET THE NATION RISE<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                      We call on all Nigerians:
                      This is not a Niger Delta issue. It is a Nigerian democracy issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      If we allow tribal lords to suppress court judgments, what then is the future of justice in Nigeria?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      We are not asking for favors. We are not crying for pity.
                      We are demanding what is ours, legally, historically and morally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      CONCLUSION: THE HOUR IS URGENT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      Madam First Lady.
                      Mrs. Daisy Danjuma.
                      Your silence and interference are stoking a dangerous fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      Withdraw your hands from the people\u2019s map. Unchain INEC. Respect the judgment of the Supreme Court. Respect the will of the people. Or prepare to face the judgment of history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
