Governor Oborevwori, Your Government Has Disgraced Itself<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We rise in anger to condemn the shameless falsehood your government vomited on Facebook, claiming that Warri North is \u201cpredominantly Itsekiri.\u201d That reckless propaganda is not governance, it is ethnic bigotry dressed as policy. It is dangerous, irresponsible and beneath the dignity of a state government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warri North is not an Itsekiri enclave. It is composed of two kingdoms, Egbema Ijaw and Itsekiri, and it is the Ijaw people of Egbema who are the numerical and territorial majority. For your government to twist this undeniable truth is to spit on history, insult the Constitution and mock the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Historical Truth You Are Afraid Of<\/p>\n\n\n\n

European explorers like Pacheco Pereira (1505) documented Ijaw dominance centuries before Itsekiri pretenders arrived with Prince Ginuwa in the 15th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Intelligence Reports (1936, 1951) confirmed the Ijaw as the territorial and population majority in Warri North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colonial censuses (1921, 1931, 1952, 1963) all showed the Ijaw and Urhobo far outnumbering the Itsekiri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ijaw lands of Opuama, Polobubo, Ogbudugbudu, Ogbinbiri and more make up the bulk of Warri North. The Itsekiri are tenants on borrowed space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet your government, in blind loyalty to lies, dares to push Itsekiri propaganda as state policy. That is not leadership, it is betrayal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Constitutional Truth You Trample On<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your reckless post directly violates the Constitution you swore to uphold:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S.14(2)(b): Government\u2019s duty is the security and welfare of the people. Your post endangers security and spits on welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S.42(1): Prohibits ethnic discrimination. Your statement institutionalises it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S.17(2)(a),(d): Guarantees equality and forbids exploitation. Your government does the opposite, promoting one minority over the majority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the Supreme Court (SC\/CV\/1033\/2023) has exposed the fraudulent \u201c6\u20134\u201d ward allocation as unconstitutional and ordered re-delineation. INEC has verified. Only publication remains. But instead of standing for justice, you peddle lies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You Are Playing with Fire<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Oborevwori, this is not just a careless post. It is ethnic provocation. It is an attempt to erase the Ijaw majority, to rob us of our rights and to incite fresh conflict in Warri. You are dragging Delta State back to the days of bloodshed and chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We warn you: if violence erupts tomorrow because of this reckless propaganda, history will hold you and your government responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Demand<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Retract and apologise immediately for your reckless post.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Acknowledge the truth: Warri North is majority Ijaw, co-inhabited by Itsekiri.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Stop being an ethnic mouthpiece for Itsekiri lies. Govern Delta for all, not for propaganda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Federal Government and INEC: End this fraud. Publish the Supreme Court\u2013ordered delineation result now.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Conclusion: Enough of the Lies<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Itsekiri are 15th-century settlers, a minority living on borrowed land. The Ijaw are the ancestral owners, the numerical majority and the territorial backbone of Warri North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Governor Oborevwori, your reckless post is an insult, a lie and a time-bomb. Stop now. Retract it. Or stand condemned in history as the man who poured fuel on the fragile peace of Warri for cheap political games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As Justice Nnamani declared: \u201cEquity will not allow the law to be used as an instrument of fraud.\u201d But fraud is exactly what your government is promoting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    INEC, enough delay. The Supreme Court has spoken, the truth has been verified, publish the delineation result now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
