Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi, said the project was built on the principle that security thrives on cooperation between institutions. According to him, “sustainable security cannot be delivered by one institution acting alone; it thrives where there is collaboration between public and private institutions,” noting that this philosophy forms the foundation of Tantita’s security strategy.

Pondi explained that since Tantita was engaged by NNPC Limited in August 2022, the company has worked closely with government security agencies, particularly the Nigerian Army, to combat oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and other forms of economic sabotage. He described the Nigerian Army’s professionalism, discipline, and operational leadership as indispensable to the progress recorded so far.

He said the commissioning of the facilities was more than a construction project, stressing that “today’s commissioning is not merely about erecting buildings or offices. It represents an investment in people, in capacity, and in operational effectiveness.” He added that the facilities were designed to improve coordination, enhance operational readiness, and support the welfare of officers and men deployed to protect national assets.

The Tantita boss noted that the project, executed as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, reflected its belief that effective security must be supported by a conducive environment that promotes efficiency, dignity, and professionalism. He disclosed that the project, which began in August 2025, was completed in record time, demonstrating the strength of effective public–private partnerships.

He also expressed appreciation to NNPC Limited, the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Project Management Office, host communities, and security agencies including the Nigerian Army, Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Department of State Services, and the Nigeria Police Force, as well as Tantita staff, for their cooperation in the successful execution of the project.

In his remarks, the General Officer Commanding, 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Emmanuel Emekah, commended Tantita Security Services Limited for its contributions to security operations and infrastructural development in the Niger Delta, noting that the projects aligned with his command philosophy of operational effectiveness, administrative efficiency, and troop welfare.

Similarly, the Commander, 63 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Moronfolu Shonibare, expressed gratitude to Tantita’s Managing Director for supporting the construction of the Sector I Headquarters, saying the collaboration had significantly improved efforts to secure pipelines and curb oil theft, with positive impact on national oil production.

Also speaking, the Commanding Officer, 3 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Major Salman Mohammed, said that upon assuming command in November last year, improving living and working conditions within the barracks was one of his top priorities. He explained that the decision to renovate the battalion headquarters was informed by the need to promote a people-centred command philosophy, describing troops as the unit’s most valuable asset.

“The General Officer Commanding also charged me to address the dilapidated state of the battalion headquarters. Today, I am delighted to say that, with support from Tantita Security Services Limited, we have been able to construct and fully furnish a new battalion headquarters,” Major Mohammed said, noting that the development would boost morale, professionalism, and operational efficiency among troops.

••••••Pondi Says Collaboration Is the Bedrock of Tantita’s Security Strategy By Freeborn Abraye Tantita Security…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[13

post-5322","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
https://coastaltimes.com.ng/index.php/2024/09/12/army-lauds-tompolos-tantita-security-company-over-donation-of-accommodation-blocks-to-3-battalion/
By Freeborn Abraye The Nigerian Army has expressed gratitude for the newly constructed 3 Battalion Soldiers’ Transit Accommodation built and furnished by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSL) for military personnel at Effurun Barrack in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
