No society can thrive under such conditions of fear and lawlessness,” Abraye stated.

The NDAPDEJ National Coordinator called on the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to take swift and decisive action to address the growing insecurity and criminal activities in the State.
He emphasized the need for enhanced intelligence gathering, stronger inter-agency collaboration, and visible enforcement actions to restore public confidence.

Abraye warned that failure to act decisively could have significant political and social consequences, particularly as citizens’ safety remains a top priority.

“The safety of lives and properties of Deltans must not be compromised. Deltans deserve to live without fear. So the Government must act now before the situation spirals beyond control,” he added.

He also urged the Delta State Government and relevant security agencies to ensure that those found culpable, the likes of the Olu of Itsekiri Tsola Emiko, Micah Polo, Collins Edema and others, are been arrested and prosecuted regardless of status or affiliation.

“There must be no room for impunity. Justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done. This is the only way to deter further criminality and restore order in Delta State,” Abraye concluded.

NDAPDEJ reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for peace, security, and justice across the Niger Delta region.

Signed:
Comrade Freeborn Abraye
National Coordinator
Niger Delta Advocates For Peace, Development And Economic Justice
