The National Coordinator of the Niger Delta Advocates For Peace, Development And Economic Justice (NDAPDEJ), Comrade Freeborn Abraye, has delivered a blistering condemnation of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over its continued refusal to implement the Supreme Court-backed delineation report for Warri Federal Constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cINEC is testing the patience of the people and dangerously undermining the fragile peace in Warri,\u201d Abraye declared. \u201cYou cannot deny people their constitutional rights and expect calm. You cannot suppress justice and expect legitimacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor far too long, the Ijaw and Urhobo people have been subjected to a manipulated political structure designed to silence their voice. The Supreme Court has already settled this matter. What remains is compliance, not excuses, not delay, and certainly not defiance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abraye warned in unequivocal terms that any attempt to conduct elections in 2027 without implementing the legally mandated delineation will lack legitimacy, credibility, and acceptance among the people of Warri Federal Constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet INEC be clear: you cannot build democracy on injustice. Any process that ignores the Supreme Court ruling is dead on arrival. The people will not recognize, accept, or legitimize such an exercise.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further emphasized that NDAPDEJ and the affected communities are prepared to mobilize sustained, coordinated, and lawful resistance against any attempt to impose another flawed electoral process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will challenge it in the courts. We will confront it in the court of public opinion. We will expose it locally and internationally. We will organize, mobilize, and resist within the full bounds of the law until justice is done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
