The National Coordinator of the Niger Delta Advocates For Peace, Development And Economic Justice (NDAPDEJ), Comrade Freeborn Abraye, has issued a thunderous and uncompromising political directive to the Ijaw and Urhobo peoples of Warri Federal Constituency: unite, mobilize, and decisively install High Chief Promise Lawuru as the next Member of the House of Representatives in 2027.
In a strongly worded press statement released in the early hours of today and circulated to the media, Abraye described the forthcoming election as “a historic referendum against decades of political oppression, exclusion, and calculated underdevelopment.”
“THIS IS A STRUGGLE FOR JUSTICE, NOT JUST AN ELECTION”
Comrade Abraye did not mince words as he laid bare what he termed the longstanding injustice and structural marginalization suffered by the majority Ijaw and Urhobo populations in Warri Federal Constituency.
“For years, our people have been denied their rightful voice in governance. We have watched helplessly as poor leadership, political manipulation, and selfish interests plunged our constituency into stagnation. Communities lack basic infrastructure, youths remain unemployed, and our collective future has been traded for personal gain. This is unacceptable, and it must end now.”
He stressed that 2027 presents a rare and decisive opportunity to break free from what he described as a cycle of “recycled leadership failure and political servitude.”
WHY LAWURU: “THE SYMBOL OF A NEW POLITICAL ORDER”
Abraye positioned High Chief Promise Lawuru as not just a candidate, but the rallying point of a new political awakening, citing his grassroots connection, leadership capacity, and unwavering commitment to equity and development.
“Chief Promise Lawuru is not part of the old, broken system that has failed our people. He represents courage, competence, and a clear vision for inclusive growth. His emergence will restore balance, bring justice to our political structure, and channel real development to every corner of Warri Federal Constituency.”
He added that Lawuru’s leadership would prioritize:
- Massive infrastructure development across neglected communities
- Youth empowerment and job creation initiatives
- Equitable distribution of federal opportunities
- Transparent and accountable representation
- Restoration of dignity and political relevance to Ijaws and Urhobos
A DIRECT CALL TO ACTION:
Abraye called on:
- Political leaders to openly declare and mobilize support for Lawuru
- Community leaders and elders to rally their people and defend their political future
- Youth groups to take ownership of the movement and drive grassroots mobilization
- Women and opinion leaders to amplify the message across all communities
“2027 IS THE LINE IN THE SAND”
In a tone of urgency and determination, Abraye described the election as a defining battle for the soul and future of Warri Federal Constituency.
“This is the line in the sand. We either rise together now or remain trapped in perpetual political irrelevance. There will be no second chance to correct decades of injustice if we fail to act decisively in 2027.”
He warned that repeating past political mistakes would only deepen hardship and further alienate the people from meaningful governance.
FINAL DECLARATION: “POWER MUST RETURN TO THE PEOPLE”
Comrade Abraye concluded with a powerful charge to the electorate:
“The time for complaints is over. The time for action is now. The power belongs to the people, and in 2027, that power must be used boldly, wisely, and collectively to secure our future.”
“We must vote as one. We must stand as one. And we must win as one. High Chief Promise Lawuru is the vehicle of our liberation, and together, we will drive this mandate to victory.”
“UNITE THE PEOPLE. RECLAIM THE MANDATE. SECURE THE FUTURE.”
