The National Coordinator of the Niger Delta Advocates for Peace, Development and Economic Justice (NDAPDEJ), Comrade Freeborn Abraye, has strongly condemned what he described as the “height of political deception, betrayal and desperation” allegedly being perpetrated by the member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Thomas Eriyetomi.
Comrade Abraye accused Hon. Eriyetomi of allegedly operating as “one man with two political parties,” insisting that no politician can morally and legally claim allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) while simultaneously maintaining membership and political loyalty elsewhere.
According to Abraye, the alleged double-party affiliation of Eriyetomi raises serious constitutional, political and ethical concerns capable of disqualifying him from contesting future elections if thoroughly investigated by the relevant authorities and party leadership.
“It is unacceptable for any individual to deceive party faithful, mislead supporters and manipulate the political process through alleged double membership and conflicting loyalties. Politics should not be turned into a game of deception and selfish survival,” Abraye declared.
The outspoken Niger Delta activist stated that the people of Warri Federal Constituency deserve honesty, transparency, quality representation and visible development, not what he described as “years of political stagnation, failed representation and recycled excuses.”

Abraye further called on the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, alongside the leadership and structure of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State, to urgently address the matter and demonstrate that the party still upholds discipline, integrity and accountability.
“We are watching closely to see whether the APC leadership in Delta State will act decisively or remain silent in the face of an issue capable of embarrassing and damaging the credibility of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections,” he stated.
Abraye lamented what he described as eight years of “unproductive, uninspiring and retrogressive representation” under Eriyetomi’s leadership in Warri Federal Constituency, alleging that the constituency has suffered neglect, underdevelopment and political abandonment throughout his tenure in the National Assembly.
“For nearly eight years, the people of Warri Federal Constituency have allegedly endured representation without results, leadership without impact and politics without development. The constituency cannot point to enough meaningful projects, empowerment programmes or transformational initiatives worthy of the enormous opportunities attached to federal representation,” he said.
The NDAPDEJ National Coordinator argued that leadership must be measured by performance, infrastructure, empowerment, youth development and tangible progress, not by propaganda and political maneuvering.
He maintained that the people of Warri Federal Constituency are already rejecting what he described as “another failed attempt to recycle ineffective leadership” ahead of the 2027 elections.
Abraye insisted that the era where politicians take the people for granted is over, adding that constituents are now politically conscious and determined to hold elected officials accountable for every wasted opportunity and every abandoned promise.
“I would rather support a credible candidate from another political party than support Hon. Thomas Eriyetomi who, in my opinion, has allegedly denied Warri Federal Constituency meaningful development for almost eight years,” Abraye declared.
He concluded by urging the electorate across Warri Federal Constituency to remain vigilant, united and determined to vote for competence, accountability, development and credible leadership in the forthcoming elections.
Signed:
Comrade Freeborn Abraye
National Coordinator,
Niger Delta Advocates for Peace, Development and Economic Justice (NDAPDEJ).
