The National Coordinator of the Niger Delta Advocates For Peace, Development And Economic Justice (NDAPDEJ), Comrade Freeborn Abraye, has declared that Chief Promise Lawuru remains the most qualified, capable, and people-oriented individual to represent the Warri Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Speaking during a media interaction with journalists and youth stakeholders, Comrade Abraye described Chief Promise Lawuru as a dynamic, visionary, pragmatic, and purpose-driven leader whose commitment to humanity, youth empowerment, peace building, and community development has distinguished him from others seeking public office.

According to Abraye, the people of Warri Federal Constituency are in urgent need of a new generation of leadership that understands the realities, struggles, aspirations, and pains of ordinary citizens, especially the youths, women, and vulnerable members of society.

“Chief Promise Lawuru possesses the physical strength, mental capacity, intellectual competence, and political maturity required to effectively represent the people of Warri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly. He is not disconnected from the grassroots. He understands the cries of the people because he has always stood with them,” Abraye stated.

The NDAPDEJ National Coordinator further noted that Lawuru has consistently demonstrated uncommon compassion and generosity by empowering countless youths, women, and families across the constituency through financial assistance, mentorship, job opportunities, and humanitarian interventions aimed at reducing poverty and hardship.

“This is a man whose acts of kindness and empowerment have transformed lives and restored hope to struggling families. Chief Promise Lawuru is not someone who only appears during elections; he has built a reputation as a dependable youth leader and grassroots mobilizer who genuinely cares about the wellbeing of his people,” he added.

Comrade Abraye also emphasized that Lawuru’s passion for peace, unity, and coexistence among the different ethnic nationalities within Warri Federal Constituency makes him uniquely qualified to lead at this critical time when unity and inclusiveness are needed more than ever.

According to him, Lawuru has repeatedly shown capacity in bridging divides and promoting harmonious relationships among the Ijaw, Urhobo, Itsekiri, and other ethnic groups in the constituency.

“Chief Promise Lawuru believes strongly in unity, peaceful coexistence, and collective progress. He understands that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and mutual respect among all ethnic nationalities,” Abraye declared.

The outspoken youth advocate further criticized the longstanding pattern of recycling older political figures who, according to him, have failed to build meaningful connections with the younger generation or adequately address their concerns.

Abraye maintained that for decades, the Warri Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat has remained in the hands of leaders who are largely disconnected from the realities confronting the youths.

“For too long, the seat has been occupied by individuals who neither understand the aspirations of young people nor have the energy, innovation, and modern leadership approach required to move the constituency forward. The youths have remained marginalized, unheard, and underrepresented.”

He described the emergence of Chief Promise Lawuru as a historic opportunity for the constituency to embrace youthful, innovative, and transformational leadership capable of attracting meaningful development and genuine representation.

“This is the first time in the political history of Warri Federal Constituency that a vibrant youth with the competence, popularity, acceptance, and leadership capacity of Chief Promise Lawuru is strongly positioned to occupy that office. This is not just another political ambition; this is a movement for generational change and people-centered representation.”

Comrade Abraye therefore called on all youths, women, community leaders, market women, stakeholders, and residents of Warri Federal Constituency to unite massively behind Chief Promise Lawuru and ensure his victory at the polls.

He described Lawuru as a pragmatic, proactive, visionary, innovative, intelligent, and progress-minded leader whose representation would usher in a new era of inclusive governance, youth participation, empowerment, infrastructural development, and economic opportunities for the constituency.

“The time has come for the people to reject outdated politics and embrace a leader with fresh ideas, courage, compassion, and a genuine passion for service. Chief Promise Lawuru represents hope, progress, and the future of Warri Federal Constituency.”
