•••••Says No Individual Should Be Allowed To Endanger The Peace And Stability Of The Niger Delta Through Falsehoods, Blackmail And Provocative Conduct

The National Coordinator of the Niger Delta Advocates for Peace, Development and Economic Justice (NDAPDEJ), Comrade Freeborn Abraye, has called on the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), and other relevant security and law enforcement agencies to immediately arrest, investigate and prosecute Daniel Perela Ezekiel over what he described as a campaign of blackmail, false accusations and incitement capable of threatening the fragile peace and security of the Niger Delta region.

Comrade Abraye expressed deep concern over what he characterized as repeated public attacks directed at respected Niger Delta leaders, including High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), High Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), High Chief Engr. Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Godfrey Tare Pondi, General Manager of Operations Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, and Elder Edgar Biu, the Technical Assistant to the PAP Administrator.

According to Abraye, the continued publication and circulation of allegations against these individuals risks inflaming tensions, misleading members of the public and provoking unrest among stakeholders in the Niger Delta.

“The Niger Delta has paid an enormous price for peace. Years of dialogue, reconciliation and strategic interventions have restored relative stability to a region once devastated by conflict. No individual should be allowed to recklessly jeopardize that progress through cheap blackmail, defamation or incitement.”___Abraye said

Comrade Freeborn Abraye further stated that Daniel Perela Ezekiel has, in his view, engaged in a pattern of making serious accusations against public figures and Niger Delta stakeholders, and urged that such allegations be thoroughly scrutinized by competent authorities.

He went further by revealing that the current public attacks against the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro stems from Otuaro’s rejection of a fraudulent proposal submitted by Daniel Perela Ezekiel.

He said:
“It is our position that the attacks against Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro intensified after Otuaro rejected the fraudulent and criminal proposal submitted by Daniel Perela Ezekiel.
If that assertion is disputed, the appropriate authorities should investigate the circumstances and establish the facts. Public institutions should never be pressured through campaigns of intimidation or smear.”

Comrade Abraye called on the relevant security agencies to carry out a comprehensive investigation into all allegations, publications and activities surrounding the matter.

“This is not about shielding anyone from scrutiny. Genuine allegations of wrongdoing should always be investigated. Equally, the deliberate spread of false accusations, must also attract legal consequences. Accountability must apply to everyone.”___Says Abraye

Abraye commended stakeholders who have contributed to maintaining peace in the Niger Delta and urged former agitators, youth groups and community leaders not to allow themselves to be deceived or misled into committing actions that could destabilize the region by the serial blackmailer Daniel Perela Ezekiel.

He emphasized that grievances should be pursued through lawful institutions rather than inflammatory rhetoric or personal attacks.

“The Niger Delta cannot afford a return to instability. As such, we call on every stakeholder in the Niger Delta region to reject any form of violence, misinformation and personal vendettas.”
