The National Coordinator of the Niger Delta Advocates For Peace, Development And Economic Justice (NDAPDEJ), Comrade Freeborn Abraye, has issued a stern warning to political actors, institutions, and vested interests attempting to manipulate the political process in Warri Federal Constituency.
According to Abraye, any primary election conducted under the obsolete ten-ward structure is a criminal subversion of the law, a direct violation of the Supreme Court-backed delineation exercise, and is therefore null, void, and of no consequence whatsoever.
“This is not politics as usual, this is outright electoral fraud,” Abraye declared. “The old ward structure is dead, buried, and legally extinguished. Any individual or group attempting to resurrect it for selfish political advantage is engaging in a deliberate act of injustice and provocation.”
He described such actions as a coordinated attempt to perpetuate decades of political domination, systemic exclusion, and engineered marginalization of other ethnic nationalities within Warri Federal Constituency.
“We are witnessing a desperate and calculated effort to cling to illegitimate control by bypassing a legally recognized delineation. This is nothing but political robbery in broad daylight,” he stated.
Abraye made it unequivocally clear that the people will not participate in, endorse, or recognize any process built on illegality and deception.
“We will not accept another cycle of marginalization, disenfranchisement, backwardness, and economic strangulation imposed through manipulated political structures. Enough is enough.”
He further warned that any attempt to impose candidates or outcomes derived from such fraudulent primaries would be met with total rejection and mass resistance.
“Let it be clearly understood: any candidate that emerges from this illegal process is a product of fraud and will be treated as such by the people. There will be no legitimacy, no acceptance, and no peace for injustice.”
Abraye accused certain interests of weaponizing outdated structures to silence and suppress the collective will of the people, insisting that such tactics will no longer be tolerated.
“Warri Federal Constituency does not belong to any single ethnic group. It is not a private estate to be controlled through manipulation and exclusion. The era of political hegemony disguised as democracy is over.”
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), political parties, and security agencies to immediately halt any process that fails to comply with the new delineation framework, warning that failure to do so would amount to complicity in electoral injustice.
“INEC and all relevant authorities must understand that neutrality in the face of injustice is unacceptable. The law must be upheld, and the delineation report must be fully implemented before any legitimate political activity can take place.”
Abraye concluded with a strong warning:
“We will resist this injustice with every legitimate and democratic means available. The peace of Warri Federal Constituency cannot and will not be guaranteed where there is no justice, no fairness, and no equity. Those attempting to drag us backwards should be prepared for the consequences of their actions.”
